It’s like coming down from a good high while rolling through the darkest industrial sector of downtown with the windows up: dreamy, somber, odd, droning.
This is the sensation granted by Unicorn Hard-on, the wayward vehicle of elusive and all-encompassing artist Val Martino.
The set that opened for AIDS Wolf with experimental contemporaries Diamond Man and Yip-Yip was something of an invocation: heads bowed, eyes fighting to stay open, and somewhere, dulcet tones sinking into eardrums and lingering for only moments before glitched, frenzied synths overtook.
