On Twitter 11/7 – Lady Titans’ First Win of the Season

On Saturday, November 7th, the Lady Titans played an amazing game against Webber’s Junior Varsity Warriors. Before the game started, everyone could tell it was going to be an excellent matchup. You could feel a lot of excitement as the audience watched the two teams warm up. After warmups, the two teams went to their benches awaiting the start of the game. The announcer introduced both teams and their starting lineups. When the teams got into position on the court, the girls jumped for the tip off, starting off the second game of the season.

The first score of the game came when the Lady Titans’ #21 hit an amazing three point shot! There were a lot of great shots during the first quarter by both teams. By the end of the first quarter, it was a close game with the Lady Titans leading with a score of 19 to 12.

The second quarter was off to a good start until Webber’s JV Warriors came back to take the lead for a short amount of time. The score was 28 Titans and 29 Warriors. Eventually, both teams were tied up at 30 to 30, but before the buzzer went off, the Lady Titans scored 2 more shots. This made the score 34-30 at the end of the second quarter. The Lady Titans were in the lead.

Everyone was on the edge of their seats at halftime. The St. Petersburg College Cheerleaders pumped up the crowd with a great routine. After that, the line for the concession stand got extremely long. Everyone was trying to grab their snacks before the game resumed.

In the 3rd quarter, the teams were running back and forth. The Lady Titans would score some baskets, and then Warriors would score. The score went from 34-30 to 55-42 by the end of the 3rd quarter with the Lady Titans remaining in the lead.

In the 4th quarter, the Lady Titans brought the heat. It was starting to look very promising. The gap between the two teams kept growing with the Lady Titans in control. By the end of the game, Webber had 51 points as a final score. The Lady Titans won the game with a total 73 points! Go Titans!
