On Twitter 11/10 – Titan’s Basketball vs. Impact
SPC Sports November 18, 2015By Preston Caruso
The Titans came out on top last Tuesday after a heated basketball game at the Gibbs Campus against Impact. The game started out in SPC’s favor. SPC took the ball and kept scoring for the first fourth of the quarter until their opponents notched one dunk.
But soon after, the Titans got their first foul. Followed by the second, then third, then fourth. By the end of the game, the home team had racked up ten fouls. Impact ended up trailing behind us in that respect too, with seven fouls. This gave them a lot of one point free throw opportunities. But even with the five points they notched from each free throw, SPC always remained at least twenty points ahead the entire game. The Titans never got any free throw opportunities because Impact kept revolving who got the foul. So no single impact member reached the threshold.
Despite the small crowd, everyone was enthusiastic about the Titans’ total domination. Every foul, every score by the other team prompted encouragement from the cheerleading squad to the home team. Overall, a perfect display of how well-oiled and talented the SPC basketball team is.
