The St. Petersburg Titans played Lake Sumter on February 20, 2016 at Jack Russell stadium at 1 p.m. The Titans won 13-7, making sure that Lake Sumter didn’t score until the seventh inning. The Titans were up by 12 when Lake Sumter finally made a run. The Titans switched out pitchers four times throughout the game. All of the pitchers did a great job in the game.
Titans pitcher #4 Kevin King was on fire in the game, striking out all of the Lake Sumter’s players. In the first inning, the SPC Titans made five runs giving the Titans a great start in the game. It wasn’t until the top of the seventh inning that Lake Sumter made a run. Then in the next inning, Lake Sumter made three more runs and two more in the ninth inning. Even though the other team made 6 runs, the Titans made 13 runs throughout the game.
Both teams played a really good baseball game and everyone in the stands was having a blast watching the game. When asked #18 Scottie Thomas, one of the Titan’s pitchers, said, “Real good game always need improvements in pitching, offense, and defense. Pitching needs to be cleaned up but really good game.”
