Men’s Basketball Team Looked Good in Preseason Scrimmage

SPC Sports

The SPC Men’s Basketball Team looked good in the first home preseason scrimmage of the year versus Rise Academy from Pennsylvania. The Men Titans are projected to start the year ranked in the top five in Region 8 NJCAA basketball. With only three returning players from last year’s active roster, the Titans have looked strong in their first performance as a team.

New additions for the Titans are as follows: Javarius Gay, Antonio Valiente, Montel Williams, Carlos Brown, Alix Petitfrere, and Marc Davin, all competing for the three open starting positions. Earnest Wiggings and Kenny Bellinger are returning as last year’s starters. Go to http://www.spcollege.edu/pages/athletics.aspx?id=1979  for complete roster.

Hopes are high and projections looking good. Let’s hope our men Titans to stay strong and continue on this season with the energy and stamina they brought to today’s preseason scrimmage. Final score was SPC 73, Rise Academy 48.

The regular season starts Nov. 1 right here at Saint Petersburg College when our men Titans go up against TAAG Academy at 7 PM.
