On April 25,  St. Petersburg College Women’s softball team had their last game before heading to districts. The Titans played against Seminole State College at the Eddie C. Moore Sports complex. Today’s game was different from all the others as they celebrated sophomore-senior day. All the players that have signed with other schools for the next year walked down the field with their families to be congratulated for their achievements.  There were flowers, posters, and many hugs given by the coaches.

The game began with Seminole State College up to bat first. Within the first couple of pitches thrown, Kaitlyn Mcmillan got her first out of the game which was shortly followed by two other outs, leaving the Titans up to bat. The lead off for the Titans was #7, Jennifer Bazylak. She made a great hit and got to first base.

By the top of the 2nd inning ,the opposing team, Seminole State College scored their first run. #2 from Seminole State College hit a double which lead the team to three more runs, leaving the score at 4-0. The Lady Titans did not let that last for long as they soon scored themselves three runs.

At the top of the 4th the Titans switched pitchers and Amanda Chambers took the mound. Seminole State scored 2 more runs, leaving the score 6-3 with State still in the lead. Next with the Titans up to bat, #7 Jennifer Bazylak hit a double but was unable to make it to home base before the team got three outs. The final score of the game was 6-3 with Seminole State College taking home the win. Both teams put up a great fight. St. Pete Titans are keeping their heads up and getting ready for the next stop, Districts!
