Diamond Man at Crowbar 11/4/11
Arts & Entertainment November 18, 2011 , by Staff WriterOnly moments into Diamond Man Travels, the album the Tampa-rooted three-piece dropped last year, one realizes this is the sound that escapes everything conventional. The flow is almost chameleon-like: snares and kicks creep through a fog of reverb as synth lines are scattered over meandering vocal samples and echoing strings are plucked in time, seemingly independent of it.
Check out shots from their set at Crowbar and listen to mind-expanding tracks like “Swamp Thing” and “Metamorphic Rock” for a feel of what this all means, available on their bandcamp.
