Jazz Pianist Dick Hyman in Solo Recital

Dick Hyman, is an accomplished American jazz and classical pianist and composer who makes his home in Florida. He was the artistic director for the Jazz in July series at New York’s 92nd Street Y for 20 years. Hyman was also, one of the first commercially recorded artists on the original MOOG synthesizer. He has won seven Most Valuable Player Awards from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Hyman was also jazz legend Benny Goodman’s pianist for a number of years. In the past few months Hyman has been performing in duo piano concerts with pianist Derek Smith. In this intimate recital (the church only seats 510 patrons so please arrive early) on March 18 Hyman will be playing solo.
