Lady Titans Softball takes South Florida Community College

Softball started the conference off last night against South Florida Community College. The first game of the double header went very smoothly with Allison Johnson on the mound. She threw a solid 7 innings, giving up on 5 hits, 1 walk and striking out 5. Left fielder Madison Morris led the offense by going 3-3 with a double, a triple and a run scored. Second baseman Alex Lenczyk was 2-3 with a run scored and 2 rbis. The final score was 5-1.

The second game was started by Erica Gulik who completed 4 1/3 innings of work and giving up 2 runs which were both unearned. Breanna Sniffen then came in, finished the game and received the win. Again Lenczyk was solid on offense with a walk, 2 hits, run scored and a stolen base. Center fielder Danielle Sanders drove in 3 runs, two with a double and one with a sac fly.

The Lady Titans are in action tomorrow 3/15 at Santa Fe College in Gainesville for a non conference double header.
