The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections, comprised of the 67 county supervisors, will award a $1,200 scholarship this year to an eligible college junior or senior who is majoring in political science, public administration, or business administration, journalism or mass communications at an accredited Florida college.

“College tuition continues to increase, and we are looking for eligible students who could benefit from this scholarship from our state association,” said Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark.

Requirements such as letters of recommendation and financial information are listed on the scholarship application and in the scholarship guidelines, which are available for download at www.votepinellas.com.

Applications should be submitted in the county in which the student is registered to vote.

Scholarship applications must be received by 5 p.m. March 18 in any Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections office: 315 Court St., Room 117, Clearwater; 13001 Starkey Rd., Largo; or 501 1st Ave. N., St. Petersburg.
