Student Veterans Association Events for the Semester!

The Student Veterans Association (SVA) has some events coming up this year and would always love to have more students attend! For all of these events, if you would like more information, just visit the student life and leadership office in the SS building on the Gibbs campus.

Beach Clean-up at Bay Pines

This is a volunteer event to help clean up Bay Pines VA. The SVA have a total of 10 volunteers, and would like at least 5 more. This event will be held on 19-Oct-2013

 

Halloween Party

This event will be on 26-Oct-2013 at Seminole American Legion. Costumes highly encouraged!

 

Veterans Day Celebration

On 14-Nov-2013, from 12-2pm there will be a Quad event in celebration of Veterans Day. General Klein will be a guest speaker, and there will be a rock climbing wall! Be sure to come out with your student ID and enjoy the event!

 

General Book Drive for Bay Pines

Help the veterans by donating books for the Bay Pines VA! Donations will begin the week of thanksgiving, and you can donate your books in the Veterans Office.

 

Textbook Drive

Help by donating old textbooks! Donating opportunities will start the beginning of December. These books are to help expand the Veterans lending library

 

Newmans Own Foundation Fundraiser

·         All money we raise will go to SVA National and be sent back to us in Grant form.

·         We can go out in groups or individuals to get donations from corporations or companies, of course dressed up in our spiffy SVA t-shirts
