On Tuesday night, the St Petersburg College Lady Titans took on the Daytona States Falcons in a thrilling game of basketball. The stands were relatively full at the start of the game and continued to fill as the Ladies pushed ahead in the game and kept a lead on the Falcons.

It was a quick start to the game, the Falcons scoring the first two-pointer within the first 30 seconds. The Falcons only held the lead for seconds before the Titans came back with their own two pointer and first score from #31, Smelser. When the Falcons called the first time out, the game was at a close 10-11 score, which set a trend for the rest of the game.

The Titans held the lead for most of the first and second period, with #12, Brito, scoring an amazing three-pointer right at the buzzer into half time. When the clock started to wind down at the end of the game, it started to get intense. The Falcons pushed ahead with some free throws and an incredible three-pointer that seemed to seal their dramatic come-back, but seconds later, the ref called a foul on the Falcons, and the Titans had another two free throws to get them back where they belonged.

After some insane back and forth, the score was neck and neck.  With a foul called every ten seconds, points were being added left and right.  Eventually the Titans pushed ahead, ending the game with a winning ten point lead.  To see the Lady Titans in action catch their next game on November 29th at 2 P.M. in the Gibbs campus gym, visit the team schedule on the college athletics page for further details.
