On Twitter – Titans vs. Polk State 4/3

It was a beautiful April 3rd night as the SPC Titans took on Polk State at Joe DiMaggio field in Clearwater with the first pitch thrown at 6pm. The Titans starting pitcher was #24, Alex Demchak, who put on a great pitching performance for the Titans. To start, it was a scoreless top of the 1st inning until the Titans made a splash their first time at bat as two runners got on base and Titans shortstop #10, Kellen Brown, got a triple to make the score 2-0 Titans.

Next, in the bottom of the 2nd due to a fielder’s choice, the Titans got the Polk State runner out at second to end the inning. In the top of the 4th, Titans pitcher Alex Demchak was sill throwing heat as he pitched a quick 1-2-3 inning to get all Polk State batters out. As the game headed into the bottom of the 4th inning, the Titans bats continued their hitting streak as two more runs came home, which made the score 4-0 Titans. Then, in the top of the 5th inning the Titans shut out came to an end as Polk State had the bases loaded and two runners came home to make the score 4-2.

In the top of the 7th, Polk State batter #4 scored a double, due to a Titans first base error, to decrease their deficit by 1 run and make the score 4-3. As the game headed into the top of the 8th inning, Polk State had a runner in scoring position with two runners on base and Titan’s shortstop #10, Kellen Brown, prevented Polk State from tying the game to get the runner out at 2nd.

Then, in the bottom of the 9th Titans pitcher #14, Jeremy Graf, headed to the mound to close this game out for the Titans. With a runner on 3rd and in scoring position for Polk State, Jeremy Graf strikes out the last batter to give the Titans the win. The Titans win a close one as the final score ended up being 4-3 Titans against the Polk State Eagles.
