A New Kind Of Music On The Beach
Arts & Entertainment June 10, 2016The Fourth annual Sand Festival occurred on April 15th- 24th. People were able to enjoy great art work that was music inspired. But throughout the week, not only was there great art work to look at, we were also able to see an artist at work. Ten extremely talented sculptors from all over the world come to Clearwater for other people to experience their talent. This year the ten sculptors are Mark Mason, Patrick Harsch, San Belcher, Larry Hudson, Dean Arscott, Stephan Schomaker, Raymond Wirick, Fred Dobbs, Damon Farmer, and Karen Fralich. The sculptors have a lot of experience from malls, conventions, fairs, festivals, and theme parks. Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Beach Boys, The Police, and Jimi Hendrix were just a few things that people drew in the sand. This event is very kid friendly. They even have discounts on kids and elders. But for everyone else, the admission was ten dollars. There are multiple ways to get there. You can use a trolley, ferry, or of course your car. It is a very enjoyable time to spend with your friends and family. Take advantage next year. You won’t be disappointed!
