Tarpon Springs, Fla. October 9, 2018 – The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art (LRMA) at St. Petersburg College Tarpon Springs campus will hold Science Night at the Museum on Friday, October 19, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The all-ages event is free and open to the public. Activities include interactive science shows at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. led by Mike Davis, Chair of the Natural Science department at St. Petersburg College, Tarpon Springs. Davis’s shows will feature Exploding Powder, Dry Ice Bubbles, Rainbow and Glow in the Dark Solutions, Smoke Rings and Whoosh Bottle. At 6:00 p.m. LRMA Curator Christine Renc-Carter will introduce visitors to the museum’s special exhibition Weird Science: Technology and Art, a display of works on paper created with various technical processes. The evening will also include hands-on art activities with science links; Gallery Guides; music; and snacks and Slime Punch.
