The Sandbox is for all SPC students, including you. We’re committed to developing a wide range of coverage on a variety of topics. If you’re passionate about something, whether it be on-campus or off, something about which you think students need to hear, or would just enjoy, drop us a line and pitch your idea. This is your Sandbox, so come on in.

Creative Works:
1) The Sandbox News accepts original short stories, and poems under 3,000 words from students, faculty, staff and alumni of St. Petersburg College. Original is defined as your own work under college guidelines. We happily accept works you have previously published elsewhere. Pitches with a short sample are preferred to complete works.
2) Submissions should be in *.doc, or *.docx format, to our email address, all submissions should be double spaced in arial 11 point regular.
3) Submitted content must be appropriate for The Sandbox‘s audience. Our audience is primarily college students and faculty at St. Petersburg College.
4) All submitted work must contain either an a) original photo or art, or b) a public domain, or Creative Commons licensed photo or art, measuring at least 1038 x 576 pixels and under 2 megabytes in file size. All Creative Commons art must be properly cited.
Other Submissions:
1) The Sandbox News accepts original art, photography, and music. Original is defined as your own work under college guidelines. We happily accept works you have previously published elsewhere.
2) Art and photo submissions should be saved as a file (jpg, gif, png) measuring at least 1038 x 576 pixels and under 2 megabytes in file size.
3) Music submissions should be sent as an MP3 file.
4) Submitted content must be appropriate for The Sandbox‘s audience. Our audience is primarily college students and faculty at St. Petersburg College.
