
Job Fair Coming to SPC Gibbs
News & Politics March 4, 2014Recruiters with the Bay Area’s most successful businesses are coming to the Spring Job Fair on Gibbs campus this Thursday, March 6, from noon until three to hire St. Petersburg College’s best and brightest.
Wells Fargo, WTOG Channel 44, Bright House, Tech Data, and Verizon Wireless are just a few of the more than 40 companies on campus to interview SPC students in the Social Science building lobby. They are looking for talented, motivated students in fields ranging from hospitality to telecommunications. There has never been a better time to find your dream job.
Moody’s Analytics estimates that Florida will be number five in the nation in job growth this year, adding 176 thousand jobs in 2014, and SPC students are ready to move to the front of the line. Last year, Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce found that nearly 30 percent of Americans with associates degrees are earning more than those with bachelor’s degrees. Employers value the skills students learn in the classroom, and the diversity of experience they possess.
