Business Woman of the Year Finalist to Speak at SPC

On February 26, Tammy Curtis, distinguished business woman and loving mother, comes to SPC Seminole to share her thoughts on how to obtain a successful career.
A career is an investment. Time, passion, energy; everything will go into the pursuit of that goal to be where one wants to be. Tammy Curtis, Managing Director for Steven Douglas Associates, would say, “No matter what you do, do it with passion and you will be noticed.”
Steven Douglas Associates, a boutique search and professional services firm, acts as a middle man to help companies hire talented men and women. Recognized by Inc. Magazine as the fastest growing private company of 2014, their qualified staff and diligent work ethic has earned them a wide array of achievements.
“To be included for a third year in a row on the Inc. Magazine 500/5000 list is a remarkable honor,” Matt Shore, President of Steven Douglas Associates, said to Inc. Magazine.
It can be safe to assume that Steven Douglas Associates knows their job, and their job is to know what makes a successful employee. Tammy Curtis will be visiting SPC Seminole February 26 for a mentoring series on how to gain success in your career.
When asked if she was excited for the event, Curtis said, “Absolutely! It’s an honor and a privilege to be able to share some of my experiences and insight with folks interested in learning more about advancing themselves professionally.”
As a single mother to a foster son, Ronderik, Curtis lives life to the fullest. She pursues a day fueled with action – from taking her son to school, to her work outs she calls “boot camp,” to the long hours she puts in at home and in conference. She even finds time to spend with Heather, her sister from the Big Brother, Big Sister program. Tammy Curtis can easily be defined as a super-mom.
“I grew up in a very outgoing family,” Curtis said. “I was a dancer and thespian through my childhood.”
An outgoing spirit and a deep seeded passion for her job solidified Curtis as a go to person within Steven Douglas Associates, which helped her become a finalist for Business Women of the Year by Tampa Bay Business Journal. Her words of wisdom on the subject just might change someone’s way of life.
“I’m always honored and humbled when asked to speak,” she said, “and take it very seriously when there are people willing to hear what I’ve got to share.”
