Born Randal Howard Paul to U.S Congressman Ron Paul on January 7, 1963 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Paul lives in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He has been married to Kelley Ashby for 24 years. The two have 3 children: William, 21; Duncan, 18; and Robert, 15. Rand and Kelley are devout Christians.

Dr. Paul attended Baylor University, then graduated from Duke University Medical School in 1988. He has owned his own ophthalmology practice for 18 years and has provided eye glasses and surgery for the less fortunate around the world. Dr. Paul was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010.
