Lady Titans Softball vs. Patriots and Vikings

Disapointing split for the Lady Titans on 2/21 against the Lady Patriots of Central Florida. Allie Johnson pitched the entire first game of the double header and the defense played well behind her. She gave up only one earned run in the 7 innings of work. The offense was led by Staci Jones (catcher) who was 1-2, 1 double, 1 rbi, 1 bb and 1 run scored.
The Lady Patriots jumped out in the first inning scoring two runs off of Erica Gulik. Breanna Sniffen came in in relief and received the loss. The offense for the Titans had numerous chances but did not score runners when in scoring position. The offense was led by Alex Lenczyk (2nd baseman) who was 1-3, 1 double, 1 rbi and 1 runs scored.

The Titans were once again led by a solid outing from pitcher Allie Johnson throwing 7 innings and giving up only 4 hits against St Johns River State College. Left fielder Madison Morris was 2-2, scoring a run, stealing a base and earning a walk. Second baseman Alex Lenczyk who has been struggling at the plate came through hitting a double in the bottom of the fourth inning to score the only two runs of the game.
Erica Gulik pitched the second game of the double header against SJRC also throwing a full 7 innings, giving up only 6 hits, striking out 4 and giving up one earned run in the top of the 7th. Lead off third baseman Esther Leong was 2-3, scoring a run and stealing a base. Right fielder Shanelly Brown was 1-2 squeezing the first run of the game home and receiving an rbi. Catcher Staci Jones was 2-3 with 1 double, 4 rbis and a towering homerun over the center field fence.
The Lady Titans are in action again at 4 and 6pm Thursday 2/23 against Western Ontario.
