New Coach, New Beginnings

Uncategorized

If you haven’t heard the good news yet, the SPC Titans have a new head coach. That’s right; Ryan Beckman heads the organization and is very proud of the opportunity. He wants a competitive product on the baseball diamond and hopes to develop the boys into young men. Even though he’s in his 9th year of coaching, he stills uses the same tactics that have been used for 120 years. He says, “I’m not trying to reinvent the game of baseball, just keep it simple.”

“Do your job, play the game how it’s always been played, and you’ll come out successful” Ryan states. He integrates baseball with life. His philosophy is trying to keep things as simple as possible in the dugout. He points out that if the team is organized and does not make mistakes, then they’ll find ways to win; the daily grind is what drives the players and students to finding new opportunities to succeed. “It’s a concept of work ethic” he mentions.

The SPC Titans have been together since August doing what it is they do best. Since then some players had several opportunities to overcome adversity and have done so successfully and brought the team closer together. He ends by saying, “Our team chemistry is better than I’ve ever seen before and is the strongest team I have ever been a part of.” Let’s hope good things will come to our Titans. New coach Ryan Beckman seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
