By Bethany Greenley (Career Outreach Specialist)

The SPC Tarpon Springs Campus hosted their 2016 Career Fair on Wednesday, February 17th from 3-6 p.m.in collaboration with Congressman Gus Bilirakis’ office.

Students were provided with a wide range of employment opportunities. Fifty employers from the Tampa Bay area were on hand to promote full time, part time, and internships to all academic disciplines.

Career Fair attendee’s had the opportunity to attend a session called “Panel of Experts” with representatives from multiple industries speaking about what they look for in a potential employee. Audience members were able to ask questions, and each panel member was able to offer some insight from the employer side of the hiring process, sharing valuable tips to help students as they enter the workforce. There were also workshops held on resumes and interviewing tips for those wanting to learn more about being prepared for job search strategies.

The Tarpon Springs Career Fair may have come and gone, but any students who would like assistance with a resume, interviewing tips, and more, can stop in the Career and Transfer Hub located in NU460.
