Birds of Prey Presentation Brings Live Birds to Tarpon

SPC Programs & Events

On Oct. 17, faculty, staff and students enjoyed the Birds of Prey presentation on the Tarpon Springs Campus. Barbara Walker and Mallory Zamoznick, from Clearwater Audubon and Moccasin Lake Nature Park, visited the classroom to discuss owls, ospreys, eagles and hawks. It was a fascinating presentation. It was wonderful to see up close their feathered friends– a barred, screech and great horned owl. The audience was given information on how to monitor and help protect these beautiful species.
