Pasta With the Provost!
SPC Programs & Events October 20, 2015On Oct. 13, students at the Tarpon Springs campus were invited to enjoy a free pasta lunch and meet campus provost Dr. Marvin Bright. During this luncheon, students were asked to share their concerns with Dr. Bright, who wishes to do everything in his power to make Tarpon campus a place where students’ needs are being met.
Some concerns expressed by students included registration, advising, and finding more specialized courses on campus. Dr. Bright echoed his desire to build Tarpon into a place where students can obtain more degree requirements so students will not have to travel from north to south county, which might be impossible due to transportation issues. He also emphasized the need for students to register early to secure seats in highly sought after courses.
The luncheon was attended by many, including representatives of SPC’s Student Government. Dr. Bright expressed that it is his goal to get students to “Start Smart and Finish Strong” at SPC.
