Poetry: Worthless
Out of the Sandbox February 13, 2016 , by Sandbox StaffBy Megan Holzwarth
Face is black and blue
Skin is beating red
Trembling in a corner
Praying to make it through
You don’t want to die
But your mind is thinking otherwise
With marks and scars all over
Hiding in a corner
Footsteps making their way
You look up and see your maker
Eyes filled with water and hands shaking
Begging for not another hit
Hand flies making its mark
With all feelings drained
Laying there powerless
