Anything is Possible

Growing up my mom and all of my teachers use to tell me that I can be anything I wanted to be, but it may not be easy. Even as an adult I believe that theory to be true, but it seemed that everything was becoming harder than expected. I went on vacation this summer to clear my mind of the stress life was putting on my shoulders, and while I was in New York I stopped by the NBC Headquarters. I stood outside the tall building and thought wow it would be great to work for NBC one day but that’s such a long shot it will probably never happen. I always wanted to be the guy that made something big happen but never knew what step one of the process was, thankfully that has changed now. God answered my prayers and a week after taking my vacation I received a call from a friend of a friend who turned out to be a producer at WFLA News Channel 8 the Tampa Bay affiliate of NBC. I was excited to find out they picked me to be their intern for the next school semester. Since being selected for my internship at WFLA News Channel 8, I have really started to believe that advice. I have meet many internationally known stars as well as learned the ends and outs of a production set. I never thought that I would be the person writing scripts for TV host or be the one making sure we get the best photos of them but thanks to my internship I have been able to get my hands in the broadcasting field and take on the everyday responsibilities it takes to put on a nationally syndicated show. This has re- assured me that anything can happen and to never doubt yourself, but to always be ready to standout when the opportunity presents itself because it always happens when you least expect it.
