Seminole Campus Welcomes Back Students

SPC Programs & Events

On the first day of Welcome Back for the spring 2015 term on Seminole campus, students participated in a drawing for a $300 gift card, while meeting clubs, student and campus organizations.

Among those in attendance were the Seminole Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Women on the Way, Men Achieving Excellence (MAX), the CEO Entrepreneurship club, and the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Other Seminole campus student groups included the Yoga club, International club, Spanish club, Fishing club, SPC Seminole Gamers and the Gay, Lesbian, Or Whatever club (G.L.O.W.) along with campus services such as the library. The Sandbox News was also on hand to recruit new writers, photographers, videographers, artists and poets. If you missed us, learn how to contribute here. There were no ink stained fingers at the student life booths this year as student government made changes to the Welcome Back contest.

In years past exhibitors had to stamp student’s passport to success cards which were used each day in the Welcome Back contest, and volunteers were easily identified by their purple colored fingers. This year students filled out survey cards at the booths they visited, giving their impressions of the student life exhibitors. The value of this year’s prize also increased. In past years the school has given away a Nexus 7 tablet, and an HP notebook. This year’s prize was a $300 gift card, on the first day the lucky winner was Kristen Powell.
