Study Abroad, See the World

SPC Programs & Events

Ever dreamed of traveling the world? It’s not always easy when you’re a hard working college student trying to finish a degree in time. Especially when you have that required humanities, speech, or biology class to get out of the way next semester. Well, why not conquer both at once?

With SPC’s study abroad program, you can spend time taking in the beauty of another country while earning those college credits at the same time. There are a ton of options to choose from when picking your future destination, but something to keep in mind is that not every destination will give you credit for any class you want.

For instance, in May 2016, there’s a study abroad trip planned for Australia, but only for those lucky vet tech students. However, there are a number of other beautiful options such as China, India, and Spring Break trips to France and Italy lined up that will definitely be your best spring break ever!

As you might be thinking, going to another country isn’t cheap. Taking that humanities class and going to Italy for 10 days will cost you almost $4500. Not everyone can afford to turn their education into an experience they will never forget. Don’t give up hope, though. With a little smart planning, you might be able to make it happen. There are even scholarships available to help send you on your way.

To know for certain, you can start by attending the Study Abroad Fair on September 8 at the Clearwater campus, room ES 104.

The Study Abroad Fair will include:

  • Presentations from Study Abroad Faculty
  • Presentations from Study Abroad Alumni
  • A giveaway for a $200 Study Abroad deposit fee waiver

So think about attending the fair to see if the study abroad program can help start you off on your journey around the world. Where would you rather be next semester? Sitting in traffic on U.S. 19 on your way to campus or sipping your cappuccino at a little café within view of the Eiffel tower?
