Poetry: Her
Out of the Sandbox February 7, 2017 , by Sandbox StaffPoetry and Photograph by Ti’Anna Davis
She’s the type of person to have sleepless nights filled with loud thoughts,
Insomnia.
She pours her heart out to those who don’t understand, can’t understand, unable to understand.
Where there is love, there are risks that she is willing to take
Because she is strong,
Because she is determined,
What is help?
Personally, she hates it
Despises it,
Refuses it,
If she could go through life without it, —she would do it
When they see her doing well, they try to bring her down, but she’s quicker than that.
1:21 AM, She sits writing about herself, but she can’t understand who she is just yet…
1:22, seems like time is going by so slow
2:00 AM, She figures she doesn’t know who she is
So much room to grow, to learn, to develop
So many questions still unanswered.
