Poetry: Temporary
Out of the Sandbox February 11, 2017 , by Sandbox StaffBy Cypress
This place is so temporary, and time moves so fast
it’s scary
It ticks with such fury but why is that second hand
in such a hurry
One day when I look back and I ask, “Where did
the time go?”
I hope I’m not also asking, “Where did my
mind go?”
Foot on the gas, no time to coast; vision to win
heart full of hope
I want to inspire young minds, challenge the design,
create the sublime
Find the strength HE put inside before I reach the end
of my time
So while some days may seem never ending, the truth is so
glaring, this place is so temporary
