Poetry: Second Floor of the Library

Out of the Sandbox

By: Madison Hubbell

libI have been waiting,

In this uncomfortable seat.

Admittedly, it’s frustrating

Even started tapping my feet.

You said: “Less than thirty!”

So I happily obliged.

It’s now pushing sixty,

And my patience is compromised.

The clock keeps ticking,

I’m starting to fade.

You’ve got to be kidding!

The suspense like a grenade.

However, being a passive person,

I’ll not yell or demean.

But of this be certain,

I’m over this waiting scene.
